How to Determine Shelf Life of Food Products

Course Objectives:

This 1-day course will enable you to gain a thorough understanding of the principles required to establish the shelf life of packaged food products and to:

  • Provide an introduction to shelf life testing for a range of food categories
  • Highlight the importance of pathogens and spoilage organisms with regards to shelf life
  • Demonstrate the use of predictive modelling as a tool in shelf life assessment
  • Show the potential benefits of accelerated shelf life testing 

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for food industry professionals responsible for Food Safety and Quality Management. It is most relevant to those responsible for estimating and validating the shelf life of food products.

ABOUT THE TRAINER:

 

Goranka Platisa is an experienced industry consultant and is highly regarded by all clients and government authorities in Canada and the USA.  She is experienced in providing training, as well as working with Food Safety team members to design and implement effective Food Safety and Quality Management programs that meet the requirements of the GFSI standards. 

In addition, she is a certified manager and trainer for HACCP courses, and is also familiar with all new compliance requirements regarding new Canadian & US legislation, and the gaps between GFSI and FSMA for those products being imported into the US.
