This interactive virtual workshop seeks to increase participants' effectiveness in attracting and selecting (and yes sometimes letting go) the best people, increasing employee engagement and identifying the most effective retention practices appropriate to their business

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identifying and validating where they or their company have made progress in HR and which HR issues and processes are most pressing for them and their company using a 13 item HR Process survey
  • Reviewing practical recruitment and selection approaches and practices appropriate for their operation
  • Identifying tactics for assessing and then improving employee engagement
  • Discovering a curated list of web links of HR SME resources  
  • Discussing and evaluating specific observations, suggestions and advice from the instructor and other participants on how to make progress on HR matters they identify as important for their operation.

Pierre Battah is an award-winning leadership and workplace specialist. He is a long-time workplace columnist for CBC, a TEDx presenter and a former senior manager in HR. He was previously an associate professor in management at Mount Allison University. His book Humanity at Work, Leading for Better Relationships and Results is published by Los Angeles based Wonderwell Press and was released in Canada, the US, the UK and in Australia in September 2020. It achieved number 1 in Hot New Releases in the Workplace Processes category.
